HetOps Radar (radar.hetops.dev), including its Pro and Team plans, is run by Het Patel, an individual based in India ("we"). Questions about anything on this page: patel.x.het@gmail.com.
Terms of service
The service
Radar checks the versions of EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, OpenSearch, MSK and Lambda resources in AWS accounts you connect, compares them with AWS's published end-of-support dates, and alerts you about what needs action. Plans (Free, Pro, Team) differ in how many accounts are scanned, how often, and where alerts go, as described on the pricing.
Your AWS accounts
- Only connect AWS accounts you own or are allowed to manage, and deploy the role we provide without widening its permissions.
- The role we ask for can only list and describe the resources above. We never ask for, and you should never give us, access keys, write permissions or access to data.
- You can disconnect at any time by deleting the hetops-radar stack in your AWS account, and by removing the account in Radar.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to probe accounts you aren't authorised to inspect, and stay within the published rate limits. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Paid plans
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions sold through our reseller and merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, which handles payment, invoices and sales tax. Subscriptions renew each month until cancelled. You can cancel any time from Manage billing in your account; you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for, then the account returns to Free. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next renewal.
No warranty
End-of-support dates come from AWS's public documentation and can change or be incomplete; versions we don't recognise are shown as "unknown", never as fine. The service is provided "as is", without warranties. Scans and alerts can be delayed or missed, so don't rely on them as your only safeguard. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email or on this page before they take effect.
Privacy policy
What we collect
- Account: your email address (for sign-in links and alerts), your plan, and, if you add one, your Slack webhook URL.
- Connected accounts: the label you give each one, its AWS account id and role ARN, and the connection id we generate.
- Scan results: for each resource Radar can see, its name, service, region, engine and version, and the resulting status. Not configuration, not data, not tags, not credentials.
- Billing: your plan and subscription status. Card and payment details go to Lemon Squeezy and never reach us.
- Usage: standard server logs kept for security and debugging.
The temporary credentials Radar receives when it assumes your role are used for that scan and never stored.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Who processes it
Lemon Squeezy (payments), our email provider (sign-in and alert emails), Slack (only if you add a webhook), Amazon Web Services (the scan itself runs against your account's AWS APIs) and Oracle Cloud (hosting). We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires.
Retention and your rights
Account data is kept while your account exists. Each connected account keeps its most recent 400 scans; removing an account deletes its scans. You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account and everything in it by emailing patel.x.het@gmail.com; we act within 30 days.
Refund policy
If a paid plan isn't right for you, email patel.x.het@gmail.com within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund. After that, cancel any time to stop future renewals; the current period isn't refunded, and you keep the plan until it ends. If you were charged by mistake, or the service was down for a large part of your billing period, write to us and we'll make it right. Refunds are issued by Lemon Squeezy to your original payment method.
